Heather Seftel-Kirk studied journalism at Algonquin College in Ottawa. She went on to work as a writer in the investment industry and obtained her licence to work as a registered representative. Branching out, she began working as a freelance writer, writing blogs, articles and business profiles for publications in Ottawa and Montreal.
For more than a decade she has written feature stories, personality profiles and news articles for publications across the country including Ottawa Life, Capital Style, Spider Magazine, Home Trends and the Canadian Design and Construction Report. She has ghost written several books for authors in North America and abroad. Over the past three years her focus has been concentrated on construction and project development.
Writing about green and sustainable development, P3 projects, design build efforts and construction challenges she has developed an understanding of the industry and its participants. She has covered events, projects and people throughout North American and from coast to coast.
