PCL Construction's solar unit is expanding its reach across North America after securing $1.4 billion in new projects. PCL Solar has contracted for work on eight new solar installations in Canada, the U.S. and Australia.

Swedish company Northvolt, which intends to build a vast vehicle battery plant in Quebec's Montérégie region, has acquired 18.5 million square feet of land in McMasterville and Saint-Basile-le-Grand for its project. The sale price has not been announced.

Toyota pledges $11 billion more for U.S. battery plant

Toyota said it would boost investment by $11 billion and add about 3,000 jobs at its electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant in North Carolina. The latest move brings its total investment in the plant to about $19.2 billion.

Loblaw deploys two Volvo electric trucks in Montreal

Heirloom, CarbonCure sign pact to store CO2 in concrete

Halifax-based CarbonCure Technologies and California's Heirloom have signed an agreement through 2025 to permanently store atmospheric CO2 captured by Heirloom’s direct air capture technology in concrete using CarbonCure’s carbon mineralization technologies.
