Solar synergy: Toronto's QD Solar acquired by SunDensity

Rochester, N.Y.-based SunDensity Inc. has acquired Toronto-based QD Solar Inc., renaming it SunDensity Canada, to align both companies on technologies and products that amplify solar panel efficiency. SunDensity is developing coatings that improve the efficiency of solar panels.

Enbridge, Indigenous groups to develop Sask. wind farm

Enbridge Inc. and a First Nations and Metis consortium will develop a 200-megawatt wind farm southeast of Weyburn, Sask. that represents Enbridge's first such wind energy partnership. The project will produce enough energy to power over 100,000 homes.

Canada to start consultation on Chinese EV surtax

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland says Canada is investigating whether to impose a surtax on Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs). Freeland says a 30-day consultation on the issue will begin July 2.
