Kathairos, a Calgary firm taking on methane emissions from oil and gas operations, has offset the equivalent of one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) since 2022, a milestone on its journey to eliminate much more.

Kathairos to deploy 1,000 methane elimination systems in Alberta

Calgary-based Kathairos Solutions is about to start bringing the first of 1,000 methane elimination systems online at remote well sites across Alberta, which it states will remove an estimated 141,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions annually.
