Calgary-based Ayrton Energy has received a $9.2-million investment from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) for its technology that safely and sustainably transports hydrogen fuel, potentially overcoming a chokepoint in the industry.
A clean fuel facility planned for Terrace, B.C. will be using renewable energy to produce up to 50,000 tonnes of hydrogen at full capacity, and have carbon capture equipment in place to offset emissions.
