CleanGo to lift Agritech to global reach with 49% acquisition

Agritech's natural remediation products to be distributed through CleanGo's worldwide network

Environmental remediation products developed by Kelowna, B.C.-based AgritechBC Solutions Inc. are getting global reach through a partial acquisition by CleanGo Innovations Inc., which is also expected to elevate its production.

Established in November 2025, Agritech is behind a line of products that help clean up hydrocarbons, heavy metals and pesticides from the environment through accelerating the natural decontamination process performed by fungi, plants and microbes.

“We restore the lands back to their natural state in a much more efficient, timely fashion," saving the bottom line of companies, Adam Sexsmith, the acting CEO and director of Agritech, said in an interview with Sustainable Biz Canada.

For Vancouver-based CleanGo, a sustainable cleaning products manufacturer and developer, Agritech’s products are complementary “to the problems we’re already trying to solve,” CleanGo’s CEO Anthony Sarvucci said in an interview. CleanGo announced it entered into a definitive stock purchase agreement for a 49-per-cent stake in Agritech in late March, which has since closed.

Agritech’s products will be distributed through CleanGo’s worldwide distribution network, Sarvucci said, and Agritech’s production in Kelowna is to be scaled up to meet the anticipated demand.

Agritech’s products

A startup founder and hemp farmer, Sexsmith helped found Agritech with Melina Lytton, its acting chief operating officer and director who has a background in food manufacturing. From his experience in agriculture, Sexsmith was exposed to the science of mycorrhizal networks, the symbiotic relationship between plants and fungi.

Sexsmith began developing Agritech’s products approximately five years ago for use in his farm and community. Currently, the company makes its products from an approximately 4,000-square-foot site in Kelowna. Its main products work in harmony as a three-part system, he said.

The first is MycoSet, described by Sexsmith as a “microencapsulated living mechanism.” It enhances the mycorrhizal relationship between plants and fungi to break down hydrocarbons, stabilize soil, boost nutrient cycling and support carbon sequestration.

Second is BioIngress, a nutrient stimulant which activates and intensifies the mycorrhizal networks to strengthen biodegradation of hydrocarbons and contaminants. It also functions as a dedicated nutrient system to sustain activity alongside MycoSet.

Third is PhytoCentra, a liquid substrate which boosts the performance of MycoSet and BioIngress by serving as a nutrient source and protective layer through the remediation process.

Sexsmith said his company’s products address the ecological pollution from fossil fuels, heavy metals and pesticides, reinforce the resilience of forests to wildfires, and reduce methane emissions if used in landfills.

Compared to untreated conditions, the application of its products have helped approximately triple the rate of degradation for diesel and mineralize bitumen six times more effectively, testing has found.

As an alternative to the work of excavating and offloading tonnes of soil for environmental remediation, Agritech’s products provide a more economic alternative, Lytton said.

Branching out Agritech’s manufacturing

Sexsmith sees Agritech’s products used in the agricultural, oil and gas, and waste-to-energy sectors in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

“We’ve developed our product to meet the needs of CleanGo. We’re quickly accelerating and expanding on our manufacturing capabilities so we can start offering that to consumers,” he said.

CleanGo is behind a series of cleaning and remediation products in the oil and gas, concrete and marine industries. Agritech’s products cover a gap in CleanGo’s product line, Sarvucci said. The two companies forged a joint venture in 2025 to co-develop and commercialize Agritech’s technologies.

With the partial acquisition, Agritech has access to CleanGo’s global distribution network. CleanGo plans to scale up Agritech with its financing, resources and industrial contacts, Sexsmith said.

“It’s our intention to have the Agritech products follow our products and wherever we are, those products will be there as well,” Sarvucci said, such as North America, South America and the Middle East.

To meet this plan, the intent is to elevate Agritech’s production from the capacity of servicing 100 hectares per year to over 10,000 hectares per year. There is also the goal to expand Agritech’s products to retail sales such as in garden centres and e-commerce with the boost to its manufacturing.

“We’re looking at other sites internationally to help create a more efficient model that cuts down on logistics,” Sexsmith said. This means Agritech products would be made in CleanGo’s production facilities in South America and the Middle East, Sarvucci said.
