While over two-thirds of Canadians have positive views of sustainable investing, less than one-quarter have investments matching that belief, exposing a gap between words and deeds, according to a survey by Mackenzie Investments.
Corporate sustainability reporting standards in the European Union (EU) could impact over 1,300 Canadian companies, and will pressure businesses and governing bodies in this country to meet those regulations, the Institute for Sustainable Finance (ISF) warns.
