Electra Battery Materials Corporation states it has completed the first plant-scale black mass recycling at its facility north of Toronto, recovering nickel, cobalt and manganese, needed for the electric vehicle (EV) battery supply chain.
Aurora, Ont.-based Magna International Inc. is investing over $470 million to expand its operations across the province, which will include a new battery enclosures facility in Brampton to support the electric Ford F-150 Lightning.
